The Glacier Bear is a color variation of the black bear that lives in Southeast Alaska. Its coat is silvery gray over the body and black on the legs. These bears are uncommon and not often seen. It was exciting to find one on the river bank as we rafted down the Tatshenshini River near the Walker Glacier.
